From the very beginning, Abdeslam—an alumnus of Lausanne Hotel School and a renowned breeder of Arabian thoroughbreds—set out to unite his love for hotel excellence and his devotion to the art of horse breeding. With unwavering support from his sister Saida, whose organizational expertise grounded the project, the siblings transformed their shared aspiration into reality. Every detail at Selman Marrakech—from its palatial architecture to the stables housing the family’s prized horses—reflects their dedication to authenticity and refinement.

My stay at Selman Marrakech was truly highlighted with very special dinner followed by horse show, and this was truly an experience you expect from Morocco. Authentic, hearty, colourful and personal as it is.
It was a bit of a challenge to take quality photos considering low light (traditional for Morocco), and amazingly hospitable Najat Bennani Smires was much better in French than in English (guilty, my French is next to nothing), but I will remember this special evening, and the people, and the horses, and fantastic lady chef Hafida Namir who created this very special gourmet experience based on true Moroccan traditions and elevated to luxurious level. Yes, this beautiful lady on the last photo is she.
