There are few types of accommodation scattered around the Jumby Bay island, no one is further than couple of minutes walk from the beach: resort suites, independent villas, and private residences.
Let’s start from Suites. “Suites” is a conventional name for type of Jumby Bay accommodation which is hotel itself. Yet, considering you are at top-notch Jumby Bay, they are not your usual hotel suites but rather spacious tastefully appointed villas. Some of them are free-standing, some semi-attached, with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy balmy air and spectacular views.
There are few different options of suites. Some are with pools, some offer outdoor garden shower or bath. They start from 1,100 sq. ft in size, but most of them inspire of generous size would only accommodate two guests. Exception would be two bedroom Family Suite.

Jumby Bay, the same as other luxurious Oetker Collection properties, is all about meticulously selected details, each detail is well thought out both aesthetically and practically, some whimsey, some nostalgic. This is a part of unmistakably European charm of Oetker hotels and resorts, doesn’t matter in which part of the world they are located. And oh… Quality is always precious if it is piece of furniture or just water bottle or snack in guests’ room.
Even Jumby Bay private island, being a part of Oetker Collection, clearly translates its European approach to luxury, it at the same time naturally belongs to the place. I would describe Jumby Bay aesthetics as light version of colonial style. It is all about organic materials, tropical prints, and… lambs!

Large flock of black-headed lambs lives on the island, and during the day friendly lambs freely wonder around for guests’ amusement. No doubts all kids love them, and I found them very photogenic. My first encounter with these adorable islanders happened when they came at the morning to drink water from stone bowl on my terrace.

Jumby Bay Private Residences can be described as bigger villas, often composed of few buildings. Each residence has large territory and offers range of facilities: tennis courts, gym, croquet lawn, swimming pools, private beach and more.
There is always staff dedicated to the residence: manager, housekeeper, gardener, private chef and butler. Practically, the residence is rather a self-contained boutique hotel within resort than large villa, and it can be wonderful option for group of friends, multigenerational family reunion or private celebration. No need to say that stay can be customized in accordance with guests’ preferences.
It would be hard to imagine something more private, sheltered, custom-made and high-end within Caribbean than this, really!

My favourite way to get around is a bike, and not only mine. Even your closes beach will always be few steps from your room, there are other beaches to explore, ponds with plenty of wild life to watch, organic farms with cute animals – island is all yours to enjoy, and bike is the best. Yet, if you feel lazy, or wish to get somewhere around at evening hours, golf cart with driver will be provided at any time. Life is easy at Jumby Bay Private Island. Easy and so enjoyable.
