Cascioni Eco Retreat is truly very eco. It is pleasantly natural, ecological, sustainable in every and each detail. Even shade around the pool is natural: no umbrellas we are used for but trees gracefully shading relaxing area. Smart, is not it?
There is a unique eco system attached to the property which includes picturesque firth, natural habitat for abundance of wild life. Absolute paradise for fanciers of bird watching. I didn’t have my big zoom lens with me, so no pictures of herons and ducks, but there are many.
I also found interior design details adorable. There is nothing fussy or posh, just true and honest quality of earthy colours, exquisite simplicity of organic connection between outdoor and indoor, and natural materials which belong to the place.
For me personally, Cascioni Eco Retreat happened to be very in harmony with my own aesthetics. It made me feeling at home away from home with no effort, and I was happily stealing design and lifestyle ideas here and there. I’m sure you will too.
Private garden and heated pool was another treat to enjoy. I’ve never made it to main pool, to be honest, but I splashed in private one quite a bit. Who would not? And fragrant herbs are everywhere – rosemary, sage, and many others I don’t know the names for.
Even SPA is organic-looking and organic-feeling and smelling. Nothing pretentious, but so enjoyable.
Cascioni Eco Retreat is another view of Sardinia, truly. Not far from posh Costa Smeralda, but so down to the earth, and earth of Sardinia is truly beautiful. When I was there, the olive harvest was just starting, and on my way from the room to the breakfast I could watch people harvesting in the grove. Life as it goes.
