Brussels. Exciting new opening. The Corinthia Brussels.

Belgium in total, and Brussels in particular, is definitely underestimated travel destination. How much do you really know about it? Beer, chocolate, french fries, European Union headquarters, some may be watched black comedy “In Bruges”… Well, not that much.

Few years back I made journey through Flemish part of Belgium, but that worth another article. Now just Brussels, and why you should go there despite of rains, grey skies, and all those office buildings related to EU bureaucracy.

First of all, it is Europe. Just in the middle of it and short fly/drive to anything else. Why not to stop for a couple of days considering very modest accommodation costs and true European flavour in abundance?

Historical city centre is a good mix of heritage and modern, and there are few neighbourhoods to enjoy wondering around, plenty of good restaurants, art galleries, boutique shops, easy life style to join, and oh… really good beer and best french fries in the world which can be ordered even in fancy restaurant, but also available as a street food (can’t say which ones are better).

And there is a new addition to Brussels luxury hotel collection, The Corinthia Brussels. I was literally one of the very first guests to celebrate soft opening in December, and I can say it will be great address to stay with the only competitor of Rocco Forte Hotel Amigo. I will be happy to assist you booking any of two, additional value and VIP treatment to enjoy.

Here are few photos of brand new The Corinthia Brussels. Built from scratch but so much character!
