Sister (well, little sister) property of famous Borgo Egnazia – hotel which put Puglia on the map and radar of luxury travel. I have complicated relations with Borgo Egnazia (don’t take me wrong, it is fabulous for certain and many clients), but Masseria de Carrube was a love from first glance: unpretentious, simple, and simply beautiful.
What type of clients would appreciate Masseria de Carrube? It can be you if you want it quiet, peaceful, slow-passing, unambitious and picture-perfect. If you are looking for action, entertainment, large swimming pools, tons of F&B outlets, you better go for big sister Borgo Egnazia. If you want sustainable beauty, slow breakfasts, vegetarian restaurant to dine, Masseria de Carrube is your place.
By the way, I’m not vegetarian, but if vegetarian would be always the way of Le Carrube restaurant, I could go with it. A zero-waste restaurant where everything is self-produced and cooked with love to Puglian food traditions… well, I can skip my meat for that. Because it was delicious and satisfying meal to remember.
And oh… It is 4 star, not 5. The price tag is appropriate, and the quality is lovely.
