Taranto is a town in Puglia which is still to be recovered and replaced to travel map. Still one of those Italian towns where you can buy house for 1 euro with obligation to restore it. Which is not an easy task. Taranto has tons of character in it, but it will take sometimes before tourists appreciate its beauty and uniqueness. Time will come.
But what I would like to tell you about is a unique collection of vintage cars collected through the years by the family and became an experience to enjoy by those who travel to Puglia. “Puglia Auto Classica” is a family business which was grown out of passion of Gianfranco Giorgio who collected and lovingly restored vintage beauties from 60th and 70th, often found in garage of friends’ or neighbours’ grandmas’ garage. It came to remarkable gallery where many exhibits are truly unique pieces of art to be admired, but some (note THAT precious but still amazing) are now used to create special experience for travellers.
Personally, I’m not a car lover, but my appreciation for the beauty of design is big, and the lines of those cars are pure beauty even driving experience can be a bit tricky.
